The annual events that fill the city's calendar. Most land in roughly the same weeks every year, but exact dates change, so always confirm on the event's official site.
January

- Blue Jays home openerSports At Rogers Centre.
May
- Doors Open TorontoArts Free tours inside buildings that are normally closed to the public, usually a late-May weekend.
- Toronto Tempo (WNBA)Sports Toronto's WNBA team, in its first season in 2026. The WNBA season starts in May.
June
- Pride TorontoFestival All month, with the Pride Parade usually on the last Sunday of June.
- Toronto Jazz FestivalMusic Usually late June into early July.

- Toronto Fringe FestivalTheatre Hundreds of short, affordable shows, usually early to mid July.

August
- Toronto Caribbean CarnivalFestival Runs through July, with the Grand Parade usually on the August long weekend.
- Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)Festival Rides, food and shows at Exhibition Place, usually mid-August to Labour Day.
September
- Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)Film Premieres, stars and public screenings, usually the first two weeks of September.
- Blue Jays and Toronto FC run-inSports End of the regular seasons.
October
- Leafs and Raptors open their seasonsSports At Scotiabank Arena.
- Toronto International Festival of AuthorsArts Usually late October.
- Nuit BlancheArts The all-night contemporary art event has traditionally run in early October. Check the City of Toronto site for whether and when it runs this year.
November
- Royal Agricultural Winter FairFestival Usually early to mid November at Exhibition Place.
- Santa Claus ParadeFestival Usually a Sunday in mid-to-late November.
- Distillery Winter Village opensFestival Holiday market in the Distillery District.
- Grey CupSports The CFL championship, in late November. Hosted in a different city most years.
December
- Cavalcade of LightsFestival Holiday lights at Nathan Phillips Square, late November or early December.
- Distillery Winter VillageFestival Runs through most of December.
- New Year's Eve at Nathan Phillips SquareFestival Free outdoor concert and countdown.
